Save and reuse a report

Save the reports you build so your whole team, and the Buron agent, can reopen and reuse them.

A report is a chart or table that answers one question about your data. Saving a report keeps that answer alive: save one you've built, and it lands in a team-shared library that anyone on your workspace can reopen, rerun, or pin to a dashboard.

Without this, every useful answer lives in someone's head or a browser tab, and gets rebuilt from scratch the next time. Saving a report keeps the exact dataset, breakdown, filters, and chart you set up, so the answer is one click away the next time the question comes up. Your saved reports are also available to the Buron agent, so it can reuse them and even assemble a dashboard from them.

Before you begin

You'll need:

  • A Buron workspace
  • At least one connected data source, so you have a dataset to report on. The pixel plus a connected CRM feed the Warehouse source, and Google Ads feeds the Google Ads source.
  • A report built in Datasets

Saved reports are shared with your whole team, not private to you. Anyone in your workspace can reopen and reuse them.

Step 1: Build a report

Open Datasets and put together the report you want. Pick a dataset, add your dimensions, measures, and filters, and choose a chart. The report has to be runnable before you can save it, so make sure it returns results first.

Step 2: Save it

Click the Save button in the toolbar (it's the bookmark icon). The Save dialog opens with a suggested name already filled in, and the subtext "Save for your team to reopen and reuse."

The name is yours to change. Edit it if you want, then click Save or press Enter.

If you opened Datasets from a dashboard's "Add tile" flow, the same button reads Add to dashboard instead, and saving attaches the report to that dashboard as a new tile.

You'll see a confirmation that it's now available to your team in the report library and to the Buron agent. Click Done.

Step 3: Find it in your library

Open Reports from the sidebar (under Analytics). Your new report is in the table, ready for anyone on the team to reopen.

Each row shows:

  • Report: the name you gave it
  • Source: Warehouse (your attribution data) or Google Ads
  • Created by: Team for your saved reports, Buron for the starter reports we ship
  • Last used: when it was last saved or edited, as relative time

Use the Filter dropdown to narrow by source, or the Search reports box to find one by name, description, or source. Click the star on any row to pin it to the Favorites panel at the top. Favorites are remembered in your own browser, so they're personal to you even though the reports are shared.

Step 4: Reopen, rename, or duplicate

Click a report (or use the More actions menu) to work with it:

  • Open in Datasets: reopens the full, editable report exactly as you left it. Change anything and save again. This is available for team reports you built in Datasets.
  • Rename: opens the rename dialog so you can change the name without reopening the report.
  • Delete: removes a team report. If a dashboard is using it, Buron lists those dashboards first and asks you to confirm. Delete anyway and those panels show a "removed" placeholder.
  • Duplicate: for the Buron starter reports. You can't edit a starter directly, so duplicate it into your own editable copy and reopen that.

Buron starter reports

So your library is never empty, Buron ships a curated set of starter reports, grouped by source. Examples include "Campaign performance" and "Spend by campaign" for Google Ads, and "Conversions by source" for the Warehouse.

Starters are read-only and marked with a Buron badge. To make one your own, use Duplicate to copy it into an editable, team-owned report you can then reopen and edit.

What Buron saves

When you save a report, Buron stores the full setup: the dataset, dimensions, measures, filters, date range, and chosen chart. That's why a team report reopens in Datasets exactly as you built it, and why a dashboard tile can rerun it on its own. Every saved report also gets a stable address the Buron agent can reference.

Where to see it

  • Reports: your team's library, where you reopen, rename, duplicate, and delete
  • Datasets: where you build a report and save it, and where saved reports reopen
  • Dashboards: saved reports can power tiles here

Frequently asked questions

Who can see my saved reports? They're shared with your whole team, scoped to your workspace, not private to you. Anyone on the team can reopen and reuse them.

Can I edit a saved report later? Yes. Open a team report in Datasets (click the row or use the More actions menu), change it, and save. You can also rename it from the menu without reopening.

What are the "Buron" starter reports? A curated set Buron ships for each source so your library is never empty. They're read-only, so use Duplicate to make an editable copy you own.

What happens if I delete a report a dashboard uses? Buron warns you and lists the dashboards first. If you delete anyway, those dashboard panels show a "removed" placeholder.

Can the Buron agent use my saved reports? Yes. Saved reports are available to the agent, and it can save new ones and build a dashboard from them.

Why is the source shown as "Warehouse" or "Google Ads"? That's the data source the report runs against, either your attribution warehouse (pixel plus CRM data) or your Google Ads account.
