Lessons from Our First 1,000 Users
Early user feedback shaped Schematik more than we expected — here's what we learned and how we're evolving the product.

#What Early Adopters Taught Us
Hitting 1,000 users felt like a milestone — and a reality check. We built Schematik with assumptions about how hardware engineers work. Users showed us where we were right and where we were wrong.
#Assumption: People Want Minimal UI
We optimized for speed and minimal clutter. Turns out, many users — especially those newer to PCB design — wanted more guidance. Tooltips, contextual help, and inline documentation matter. We added a "Learn" panel and richer error messages. Engagement with those features is high.
#Assumption: Export Is a One-Time Step
We thought export would be a final step before layout. In practice, users iterate: design in Schematik, edit in KiCad, then come back to tweak the schematic. We prioritized round-trip workflows and better conflict resolution. Version sync and diff views are on the roadmap.
#The Biggest Takeaway
The best feedback came from users who hit real limits. "I couldn't do X" or "Y broke my workflow" led to the most impactful changes. We're doubling down on support channels and making it easier to report issues directly from the app.
